A newly launched company is selling off clothes from cancelled high street orders for half the retail price. The clothing items included in each Lost Stock box should be been sold by brands such as Topshop, New Look and Gap, but were left at factories after many high street shops were forced to close.
Many retailers cancelled the orders they'd placed with manufacturers, estimated to be around $2 billion worth of already-made clothing.
Lock Stock says that most have refused to pay the production costs on these items. As well as the wasted products, it meant that millions of workers in Bangladesh were left unpaid, and at risk of starvation.
