A teacher is making protective face shields for NHS staff and frontline workers in a school's technology department. Engineering teacher Stuart Peet has spent the last week making the parts with the 3D printer at Ashton-on-Mersey High School, in Sale.
Stuart then takes the sections back to his home to construct into masks to protect NHS staff during the coronavirus crisis. He has created the mask based on a design which originated in Spain and has tweaked it slightly with the help of experts from NHS Stockport.
Another three teachers from the Dean Trust have joined Stuart and the team have the ability to make four masks every five minutes.
