The government published the latest data from the first three weeks of the NHS Test and Trace service as the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, continues to defend it amid criticism over its lack of effectiveness.The figures for England on Thursday for the NHS Test and Trace Service, showed 20,968 people who tested positive for Covid-19 had their case referred to the service between May 28 to June 17.Of this total, 15,225 people (73 per cent) were reached and asked to provide details of recent contacts.But the figures showed that 24 per cent of people (5,062) who tested positive for coronavirus couldn't be traced.
