Another six people who tested positive for coronavirus have died at Greater Manchester's hospitals

A further six people have died in Greater Manchester's hospitals having contracted  coronavirus. The total number of COVID-19 deaths in our region's hospitals now stands at 1,847, according to the latest NHS data.

In the last 24 hours, another three fatalities were announced at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Another two deaths were recorded at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

A further person lost their life after contracting COVID-19 at the Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. The other eight hospital trusts in Greater Manchester reported no new deaths in their 24 hour data.
