Boris Johnson is set to announce a "one metre plus" social distancing rule on Tuesday in a bid to salvage the UK's tanking economy, it is reported.
The Prime Minister's move will apply to all venues including offices, schools and pubs and will take effect from July 4, the Sunday Telegraph reported.
The move will allow people to remain a metre away from others if they take additional measures to protect themselves, such as wearing a mask.
The “one metre plus” branding under discussion will be designed to help reassure customers and workers that the rule is safe to observe.
