Prime Minister Boris Johnson has admitted that he was keen get to the pub but warned people to at responsibly. Earlier today Mr Johnson said pubs, restaurants and hotels could reopen in England from July 4.
But Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty warned that people needed to be cautious and further outbreaks were possible. Speaking at the final Downing Street daily press conference Mr Johnson said: “Frankly I can’t wait to go to a pub or a restaurant, even if it may not be wholly compatible with the new diet that I’m on. “I think people need to go out and I think they need to enjoy themselves, and rediscover things that they haven’t been able to do for a long time.” But Mr Johnson warned that people needed to act responsibly.
