Rutherglen MP Margaret Ferrier has been arrested for alleged culpable and reckless conduct. The move follows an investigation into the politicians’s alleged breaches of coronavirus guidance, where she travelled to London despite displaying covid-19 symptoms, and then travelled back to Glasgow after being told she had tested positive.Ms Ferrier was suspended by the SNP as a result.A Police Scotland spokesman stated: “We can confirm officers today arrested and charged a 60-year-old woman in connection with alleged culpable and reckless conduct.“.This follows a thorough investigation by Police Scotland into an alleged breach of coronavirus regulations between 26 and 29 September 2020.
