A study in China has found cats can contract coronavirus from other cats, through respiratory droplets. The findings concluded that although cats and ferrets can contract the infection, dogs, chickens, pigs and ducks were unlikely to, reports The Guardian.
Recently, a cat in Belgium contracted the bug a week after its owner got sick with COVID-19. Live Science reports the cat began to show symptoms such as diarrhoea, vomiting and respiratory issues.
