A lack of mobile phone activity at a controversial laboratory studying bats in the Chinese city of Wuhan shows that it mysteriously shut down in October, a report has claimed.
Intelligence agencies in the US and the UK were reportedly analysing the data which was obtained by NBC News in London. It could add weight to the theory the coronavirus accidentally escaped from the lab after being transmitted from bats to humans.
The report suggests there was no phone activity in a high-security section of the Wuhan Institute of Virology from October 7 to October 24, 2019.
