The mayor of the Italian town worst hit by coronavirus says he's bringing his daughters home from the UK - because he doesn't believe Britain is taking the disease seriously enough.

Giorgio Gori, mayor of Bergamo, lashed out at Boris Johnson's response to the crisis. Today officials confirmed that 335 Brits had died after contracting Covid-19.

Italy's death toll stands at nearly 5,500, with 1,444 people dying this weekend alone. In the northern city of Bergamo, there have been 6,471 cases.
