A group of eight people were caught flouting social distancing rules as they smoked shisha and enjoyed a picnic, despite coronavirus lockdown measures.
Police dispersed the group, who were enjoying kebabs and camped together on a hill in the Peak District, just days after Prime Minister Boris Johnson banned gatherings of more than two people.
Boris Johnson has warned UK citizens not to leave the house, in the fight against coronavirus. In the new set of rules announced this week, he has also given police powers to stop members of the public breaching COVID-19 lockdown laws.
Police revealed members of the group had travelled to Snake Pass in the Peak District, Derbyshire, from Manchester and Sheffield to enjoy their day out.
