Coronavirus Scotland: Ayrshire COVID-19 cases rise but hospital and ICU numbers decrease

The number of cases of coronavirus in Ayrshire has now hit 640. The Scottish Government published its latest figures this afternoon as part of its daily update on how COVID-19 is affecting the country.It has been confirmed that 1062 people have tragically passed away after being diagnosed the disease – up 77 from yesterday.

Throughout the NHS Ayrshire & Arran region, a total of 640 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19, an increase of 17 since yesterday's update.

Earlier today it was revealed that 120 Ayrshire and Arran residents have died as a result of contracting the deadly virus.The number of patients in intensive care within the health board's region with confirmed or suspected coronavirus stood at 8 at midnight.
