The number of people to die from coronavirus in the UK has risen to 27,942. England has seen a further 370 hospital deaths from coronavirus in the past day.
Another 44 people have died in the past day in Wales, while 18 more deaths have been recorded in Northern Ireland. In recent days, the daily death tolls have decreased, raising hopes the UK is over the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The latest figures come after 427 deaths were announced on Friday, with 482 on Thursday, 610 on Wednesday and 653 on Thursday.
