A quarter of all suspected or confirmed coronavirus deaths in Scotland have been in care homes, new figures have revealed. The National Records of Scotland has published death toll figures where coronavirus is mentioned on the death certificate, a total of 962.The figure is higher than those coronavirus deaths where there is a positive test for the virus - which stands at 699.One in every four suspected coronavirus death came from care homes across the country.A total of 237 in care homes have been recorded where Covid-19 has been noted in the death certificate.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed that 433 care homes in Scotland have reported outbreaks of Covid-19 during the Scottish Government's daily briefing this afternoon.
