A further seven patients in Wales who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the country's death toll to 12. The tragic news was confirmed by the chief medical officer for Wales, Dr Frank Atherton.
Five of the seven died at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport, the Welsh Government said. It means there are now 240 confirmed deaths across the UK.
Dr Atherton, said: "It is with deep sadness I can confirm a further seven deaths of patients in Wales who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19).
