More than 400 people test positive for coronavirus in Lanarkshire

The Scottish Government today said that 427 people have now tested positive for coronavirus in Lanarkshire.That is an increase of 50 new cases, up from 377 yesterday.It comes as 218 patients across Scotland who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.The test numbers for April 4 show:A total of 20,798 people in Scotland have been tested.

Of these:■  17,453 tests were confirmed negative■  3,345 tests were positive■  218 patients who tested positive have died.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: “Coronavirus is the biggest challenge of our lifetime and  measures we take to tackle it must reflect the magnitude of that.“These measures are essential to slow down the spread of this virus.
