Five fresh coronavirus cases were reported from Tamil Nadu today. Four Indonesian nationals and their guide from Chennai, tested positive for COVID-19 infection, said C Vijayabaskar, Tamil Nadu health minister.
With the new cases, the total number of COVID-19 patients in the state has climbed to 23. The newly-tested positive patients were in quarantine since March 22 at the Salem Medical College, confirmed Tamil Nadu health minister.
Tamil Nadu also reported its first casualty of coronavirus today as a 54-year-old man died in Madurai today. So far, India has reported ten deaths due to coronavirus infection.
