People visiting loved ones in prison are now being tested with temperature guns in a bid to prevent an all-out inmate coronavirus outbreak.
The measure is being carried out in line with Public Health England guidance and is part of a series of measures implemented in prisons to stop the deadly spread of the highly infectious pandemic taking down the UK's prison population.
Daily Star Online first learned about the temperature checks when Chantelle Salhotra, 30, contacted us to inform us about the precautions.
She said there were "several stages" visitors now must go through and claimed visitors "weren't warned about the checks so people couldn't deceive them".
