Wetherspoons boss Tm Martin has told his 10,000 workers to go and work at Tesco, as the nation continues to struggle at the hands of the coronavirus pandemic.

After closing hundreds of pubs on Saturday, Martin said he's "had calls" from Britain's biggest grocer, asking for workers to support them during the crisis.

The pub chain was forced to close over the weekend after new measures by the British government to stop the spread of COVID-19.

It came after the landlord described the global pandemic as a "health scare" - adding that closures as a result would be "over the top".
