NEW DELHI: Late Saturday, the social media department of Congress had an unusual task at hand – bringing together more than 70 senior leaders of the party into a group video call on Zoom.
For the 135-year-old party, this could have been the first ever virtual meeting of its extended leadership which included its top leaders, general secretaries, state unit chiefs, chief of frontal organizations and leaders of legislative parties of all states.
Group video call on Zoom, video conferencing, Skype, conference calls and group messages through social media platforms are some of the tools at hand for political parties to stay connected amid the nationwide lockdown to contain the coronavirus spread.
