TV presenter Davina McCall has shown the scar she received after surgery for a “very rare” benign brain tumour. Appearing on popular shows such as Long Lost Family and Your Mum, My Dad, the 57-year-old star revealed last month that a colloid cyst was found after she was offered a health check-up as part of her menopause advocacy work.

A colloid cyst is a rare, non-cancerous tumour filled with a thick gel-like substance called colloid. In a health update early December, Davina admitted: "I know I gave Michael Douglas (her partner) and Kevin O’Neill (the neurosurgeon) a bit of a scare after the operation because I was so confused,” before adding: “But I’m doing so well now, and I just wanted to thank him and all the team for taking such really good care of me.” Davina had previously spoken about the colloid cyst to her followers, and shared: "It needs to come out, because if it grows, it would be bad.” In a recent video posted to her celeb hairdresser partner Michael Douglas' Instagram, Davina is getting her hair cut and showed a shaved line that stretched across the front of her head near her hairline, and just above where her fringe sits.

She said: "It’s good, look at that. It’s from here across to here and all healed. It’s a bit crusty around here, but no hurting, not infected." Michael has kept Davina's followers updated during her recovery, with him reassuring fans that the surgery was "textbook" and she was recovering in an intensive care unit as a precaution.

Fans flocked to the comments to wish the pair well, @gabeandgrace commented: "Oh devine Davina, soooo good to see you back." @lynneberry_e echoed: "There is nothing like real love to help you through these hard times Davina.
