A lone deer was spotted venturing into the streets of Newcastle as the country's coronavirus lockdown continues to leave streets eerily quiet.
Street surveillance cameras around the city centre captured the young deer sauntering around the famous Bigg Market and sampling the delights of the area before taking a wander into nearby Clayton Street.
The deer was spotted by Northumbria police who could not resist releasing a pun-tasitc statement to go alongside it. It read: "Even lockdown couldn't stop this stag from enjoying a night on the town.
