The Department of Health has said a number of measures have been taken to control the spread of Covid-19 at Dealgan House in Dundalk, Co Louth.
In a letter to local TDs the Department confirmed that the outbreak had been brought under control and is being monitored on a daily basis.
The facility in Dundalk confirmed last week that 23 people in its care had died. The statement said many of the deaths were Covid related.
The department said all residents are now nursed in single rooms, cleaning standards have been increased and personal protective equipment is readily available to staff.
