Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan made his thoughts perfectly clear today about a Chelsea player who is believed to have broken lockdown rules. According to the Good Morning Britain presenter, Callum Hudson-Odoi should be ‘banned’ from the game when football restarts.

The England forward is said to have breached the rules relating to social distancing over the weekend to be with a woman. Hudson-Odoi was reportedly arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning following an alleged incident relating to an unwell woman at his west London home.

The 19-year-old footballer has since been released and bailed. Piers Morgan, who has been critical of anyone flouting the rules, says any ‘idiot’ footballer caught doing so should not be allowed to play.
