Disney has announced that will put in place a measure to lower the overall bandwidth utilization of its Disney+ service when it launches in Europe later this month, as thecontinent deals with heavily burdened networks amid the coronavirus pandemic. "In line with Disney’s longstanding commitment to act responsibly, we are responding to the request of European Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton to work together to ensure the smooth functioning of the broadband infrastructure," said Kevin Mayer, Disney's chairman direct-to-consumer and international.
