A doctor who spent the last year working draining 10-hour shifts while tackling coronavirus has been told she could have months to live.
Jessi Tucker, 40, was diagnosed with stage three melanoma skin cancer at the start of the pandemic when she was putting in long hours on an A&E ward.
Her illness has since been upgraded to stage four as it has spread to her lungs, Bristol Live reports. This means she could have just nine months left to live - devastating news she had to relay to her parents over video call because of coronavirus measures.
Jessi was also unable to see friends after she was told about her condition but said does not want to be a victim - and intends to fight the cancer every step of the way.
