Donald Trump has called for US states to reopen churches and places of worship this weekend. The President spoke for less than two minutes on the matter before walking out of a press conference.

The daily coronavirus briefing was then taken up by Dr Deborah Birx, the Coronavirus Response Coordinator for the White House.

Speaking during the daily press conference, The President asked governors to act “right now” and said he would override them if they didn’t.
