NORTH WILDWOOD, NJ. - North Wildwood fire crews responded to a house fire that caused one fatality on Thursday afternoon.Authorities say fire crews responded to a reported structure fire at 2203 New York Avenue at 4:16 p.m., and police officers on the scene informed them of a potential victim trapped inside. Firefighters on scene described the structure as a 1 ½ story residence with smoke and fire showing. Fire crews initiated an aggressive interior fire attack as a search for people began and firefighters found a victim in a rear bedroom after four minutes, according to officials.Authorities say firefighters evacuated the victim through a window, then moved them to a stretcher and initiated CPR. The victim was then transported by ambulance to Cape Regional Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m. No additional injuries were reported. Officials say the fire was placed under control around 4:30 p.m. The Cape May County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating. This is a developing story. PHILADELPHIA - A Pennsylvania grand jury investigating child sexual abuse in the Jehovah’s Witnesses community has charged another five people with raping or molesting children as young as 4, the latest developments in an ongoing probe that has identified 14 suspects.Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry, at a Friday news conference, said that while the misconduct dates back years or even decades, "the trauma endures for these victims."Henry did not address the church’s handling of complaints, but said the investigation would continue.Critics say that Jehovah's Witnesses elders have treated child sexual abuse as a sin rather than a crime, documenting complaints in internal files but not reporting them to authorities. And they say the church often required a second witness to substantiate a complaint, a standard that can be impossible to meet when perpetrators often isolate their victims.Church spokesman Jarrod Lopes has challenged those conclusions, saying that elders comply with reporting requirements and that members are also free to report sexual assault to authorities.

He was wearing a bulletproof vest, and armed with an AR-style rifle and a handgun.Another handgun, along with ammunition that matched shell casings found at the scene, were recovered during a search of the suspect's home, officials announced during a press conference Wednesday.The DA's office also said a handwritten will dated June 23 was also found at Carriker's home.
