Dr Alex George is set to advise the government on how to make mental health a priority in the UK. The former Love Island star, 30, who is a doctor at Lewisham Hospital and works on the NHS frontline, announced the news on Wednesday morning on Instagram after sitting down for a meeting with Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Upon being given his new role as Ambassador for Mental Health, the medical professional told that he is "truly humbled" and added that he is ready to "bring meaningful change" following the loss of his 19-year-old brother.
Alongside a photo of the reality TV personality speaking with Boris Johnson in 10 Downing Street, he typed: "WE DID IT!! You called and the PM answered!!
