Boris Johnson will today give a statement to Parliament about Covid-19 - after the UK became just the fifth country in the world to pass 100,000 deaths.
The statement replaces one scheduled by Health Secretary Matt Hancock at around 12.40pm. The Prime Minister faces fierce criticism over his handling of the pandemic, with coronavirus claiming more lives in this country than anywhere in Europe.
Just the USA, India, Brazil and Mexico have seen more Covid fatalities, and yesterday's daily death toll of 1,631 saw the official figure rise to 100,131.
