A Dublin man has beaten Covid-19 after being on life support in ICU for 26 days - the second time he has beaten a deadly virus.

Conor Cleary, 59, from Cabinteely, was greeted by his overjoyed family as he left St Vincent's University Hospital yesterday.

"Dad is a miracle man and a true hero," said his relieved daughter Rachel. "We are so grateful to the frontline workers at St Vincent's who saved his life.
