Little and Large comedian Eddie Large has died at the age of 78 after he contracted the deadly coronavirus. The late star's family have confirmed Eddie's death, real name Edward Hugh McGinnis, and have said he died from heart failure after falling ill to Covid-19 while in hospital.

Prior to his death, Eddie was nursed through his final live performances by his comedy duo and longtime pal Syd Little. Eddie's heart was failing and he was in so ill health he said he couldn't put a seatbelt on without "being out of breath".

While Eddie battled with his heart condition, the comedy duo continued performing for another decade as Syd helped Eddie get through it.
