Boris Johnson's chief aide Dominic Cummings is the latest high-profile figure to have broken the Government's lockdown rules, it has been revealed.
The Mirror found that the top aide was spotted at his parents' home in Durham while recovering from coronavirus, after travelling more than 250 miles from his London home.
Mr Cummings, who fell ill with the deadly bug in late March, was reported to police for breaching lockdown, with officers contacting the family.
He has faced calls to resign from the Liberal Democrats and SNP, but sources say he went to stay with his parents so they could with childcare while he and his wife were ill, and was not in breach of rules as they were staying in a separate building.
