He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Dominic Cummings has come under fire over the last few days for flouting coronavirus lockdown rules. Prime Minister Boris Johnson ’s senior advisor had travelled 250 miles from London to Durham to see his parents.
At the time government had advised Brits: “You should not be visiting family members who do not live in your home. “The only exception is if they need help, such as having shopping or medication dropped off.” However, Cummings said he acted responsibly and did not breach any rules, as he went to self-isolate so he could have access to childcare.
