Piers Morgan has hit out at BBC managers and the decision to haul up Emily Maitlis for breaching their 'impartiality standards'.
The 56-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter has backed Emily after she was replaced by Katie Razzall for Wednesday's edition of Newsnight.
The BBC had posted a statement on Twitter earlier in the day in which it confirmed it had reviewed the show and 'reminded staff of the guidelines'.
Emily was pulled up for discussing the Dominic Cummings lockdown row and opened the programme on Tuesday by saying the Prime Minister's chief adviser had "broken the rules" and "the country can see that, and it's shocked the Government cannot".
