The government have admitted that data on the number of people with Covid-19 who have died 'does not tell the full story.' Daily figures on the number of people with the virus who have died are released with that number today sadly reaching 14,829.
However this only includes people who have died in hospital and not in care homes, hospices, at home or elsewhere in the community.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) are also published totalling all deaths where where COVID-19 is mentioned on a person's death certificate, with the latest set of data expected later this week.
