Christmas Eve was forced to eat beans on toast after discovering her turkey was rotten. Sara Revell had been looking forward to a glimmer of happiness after heartbreaking news. But she is one of many who have complained today of being met by a "horrendous" smell when they opened up their Christmas turkeys.
Sara, from Folkestone, Kent, told the Mirror she lost her sibling yesterday, months after her mother died with Covid-19 at the peak of the UK lockdown in May.
She said: "When you're grieving for the mum you've lost and then your brother Christmas isn't important."However we had already bought the turkey crown."To top it off the turkey crown we bought was off.
