A hospital ward has been shut to new admissions after an outbreak of coronavirus among patients and staff. The ward at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland, has been temporarily closed as staff work to minimise the spread of the virus.
Everyone affected has been contact traced and is self-isolating, the hospital board confirmed. A statement by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said: "We have a number of positive cases in a ward at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. "Staff are working extremely hard to ensure the appropriate measures have been implemented to minimise the spread of the virus.
