Hospitals stand accused of refusing pregnant women's requests for caesarean sections during the coronavirus crisis - despite advice saying they can go ahead as normal.
NHS England say there is no reason why hospital shouldn't accept the requests during the Covid-19 outbreak. But The Independent claim some NHS trusts have told women preparing to give birth that requests will not be granted.
It has lead to an outcry that hospitals are going against official guidance. Now a leading charity is demanding these suggestions are looked into after saying the crisis is being used as an excuse.
