A new advice hub will help parents ensure their children are safe using the internet during the coronavirus lockdown. After Deputy Chief Medical Dr Jenny Harries announced the lockdown could be in place for three to six months, children are going to need to be entertained in different ways at home.
In the current digital age it’s likely many children will be spending a lot more time on the internet, whether that be for their studies, to play games or to chat to friends.
With this comes understandable concern from parents about how to keep their children safe from unwanted contact and inappropriate content.
New research by digital safety organisation Internet Matters shows that 80% of children think they can manage their own online safety.
