Primark shoppers have been filmed in their hundreds queuing outside a store as it reopened for the first time since the coronavirus lockdown at the end of March.
Non-essential retail outlets across the country have been allowed to open today as Boris Johnson continues to ease restrictions due to the pandemic.And outside the store’s flagship branch in Birmingham, customers were clearly keen to get their fix on the first day of doors opening.Amazing footage taken by BBC reporter Kathryn Stanczyszyn shows a gigantic queue stretching all the way down the high street.Many are wearing face masks in line with government guidelines and are also standing the required two metres apart.Such was the demand in the area, Primark opened their doors ahead.
