Iceland has given Jason Manford a very generous offer after Tesco knock back

It has been a pretty busy 24 hours for Jason Manford after he revealed that he had been knocked back by Tesco for a job. The comedian applied for a role at the supermarket's Aldery Road Express store in Wilmslow seven weeks ago after hearing how supermarkets needed to up their works force due to the demand of the coronavirus pandemic.

And Jason, 43, said he 'wanted to do his bit' after his theatre show was cancelled. Sadly, he wasn't chosen for a job and joked on Twitter that he was 'livid'.

But Tesco personally responded to Jason after his tweets caught their attention. Now, Iceland have got in on the act with a very generous offer.
