Jason Manford has received a personal response from Tesco after they rejected him for a job. The comedian applied for a customer assistant position at the supermarket's Aldery Road Express store in Wilmslow.
Jason, from Salford, joked that the was 'livid' at the response but admitted he did genuinely apply after fans thought it may have been a joke.
The 38-year-old said he was 'just trying to do his bit' and applied seven weeks ago when major supermarkets advertised for more stuff amid the coronavirus outbreak.
