Jason Manford has shared his outrage at being snubbed by Tesco over his application for an £8 an hour job at the supermarket chain.
The Salford born star filled out a genuine application for for a customer services role at his local Express store but was turned down by recruiters.
38-year-old Jason said he was 'just trying to do his bit' when he tried out for the job in March when major supermarkets were requesting for more staff to meet the demands of customers panic buying in the coronavirus outbreak.
The funnyman even tried to persuade the company into hiring him for the job by signing his CV off with "'previous experience: Comedian.
