LAKEWOOD, Calif. - A mother in Lakewood is sharing her story after she and her child were followed home Sunday night, and the entire thing was caught on doorbell video. "Everyone please stay vigilant and lock your doors," homeowner Ali Porath posted on Facebook alongside a video of the incident. According to Porath, she was in the process of unloading the car after she and her child got home. "Luckily, we were at the tail end of unloading everything and had locked the door upon entering," she said. In the video, you can see Porath carrying her child into the house. Seconds later, a man appears in the driveway and approaches the door.

Last Wednesday, there were 1,403 hospitalizations with 364 in ICU.The province recently began distinguishing between those who were admitted to hospital directly because of COVID, and those who were admitted for other reasons but tested positive for the virus.Of the 1,106 people in hospital with COVID-19, 49 per cent of them were admitted because of the virus, while 51 per cent were admitted for other reasons but tested positive for COVID-19.Of the 319 people in ICUs with the virus, 77.5 per cent were admitted because of COVID, while 22.5 per cent were admitted for other reasons.

PHILADELPHIA - Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 is suing the city of Philadelphia and its officials over the new Driving Equity Law. In October, the City Council passed the first-of-its-kind bill, and Mayor Jim Kenney signed it into law in November. It bans officers from pulling over vehicles based on traffic violations that are considered "secondary violations" in an effort to prevent racial disparities in traffic incidents handled by police.  The following issues are considered secondary violations in the new law:The lawsuit from the Philadelphia Lodge #5 Fraternal Order of Police was filed on Wednesday. FOB Lodge #5 President John McNesby said the law is dangerous. "This terrible law puts reckless drivers behind the wheel of unsafe vehicles that ultimately puts the general public in danger," he said. McNesby had expressed concerns about the law before it was passed.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner has announced charges in the shooting of a 56-year-old woman in Germantown.The woman, who has not been named by police, was shot multiple times in the West Oak Lane section of the city on Monday.The shooting happened inside a home on the 100 block of Mayland Street at approximately 3:18 p.m.Police say the woman was shot multiple times throughout her body before she was taken to a local hospital and listed in critical condition.On Tuesday, Krasner announced charges against 45-year-old Sadheim Edens, who investigators say shot the woman in his mother's home.According to the DA's office, Edens' mother and the victim are domestic partners.

Alabama man who was arrested last month for littering after he placed a box of flowers at his fiancée’s grave in Auburn, according to reports. Winchester Hagans lost his fiancée, Hannah Ford, in a car crash on January 17th, 2021, the same day the couple visited their future wedding venue in Notasulga, about 12 miles southwest of Auburn.Hagans said he remembered kissing Ford good-bye as she prepared to drive home to Montgomery, about 45 miles away, WRBL-TV reported. Ford, 27, died in a three-vehicle car crash shortly after.
