We're all eager to get back to routine beauty treatments, but should you be on waiting lists for when the time comes? We ask the experts...

DIY beauty has usurped our world from the moment lockdown first began in late March. Since then, we've traded in our routine root touch-ups, facials and dental check-ups, for remedies that can be found at home.

And, as government guidance has laid out this week, we'll need to cling on to our new beauty habits for a while longer. In the government guidelines issued yesterday, "higher-risk businesses and public places," such as hairdressers and beauty salons, will open on July 4 at the very earliest, and that's as long as they meet the Government's five tests - which will be revealed closer to the time.
