PHILADELPHIA - Homicide detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department are investigating after a teenager was shot and killed in West Philadelphia on Monday night. According to police, 18th District officers responded to numerous 911 calls for gunshots and a shooting at 52nd and Larchwood Streets just before 10 p.m. Chief Inspector Scott Small says responding officers found an 18-year-old on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds to his head, chest and back. (AP) - Three people were fatally shot and two were injured, including a 12-year-old girl, at an Indiana mall after a man with a rifle opened fire in a food court and an armed civilian shot and killed him, police said.The man entered the Greenwood Park Mall on Sunday evening with a rifle and several magazines of ammunition and began firing in the food court, Greenwood Police Department Chief Jim Ison said.The three people who died were in addition to the man with the rifle.

Video: Suspect threatens man with gun after physical fight inside North Philadelphia store, police say

PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred in a North Philadelphia store earlier in July. According to authorities, the incident took place on July 7 on the 1700 block of Allegheny Avenue just before 7 p.m. Officials say a man told police he was buying a drink when he got into a verbal altercation with another person. The verbal altercation escalated into a physical fight, according to law enforcement. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESPolice released surveillance video showing the fight inside the store. According to police, the suspect went to his car after the fight, grabbed a black handgun and walked back into the store, threatening the man he fought. Authorities say the man left the store through a door on the opposite side and the suspect fled off in a Gray Ford four-door truck. Anyone with information is urged to contact police or submit an anonymous tip.

Police: 2 unidentified men fatally shot less than a mile away from each other in Holmesburg

PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating after two unidentified men were fatally shot in Holmesburg early Monday night. According to authorities, the first shooting happened on the 4500 block of Bleigh Avenue. Police say a man, who is a John Doe, was shot multiple times throughout his body, including his head. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESMedics pronounced him dead on scene, authorities say. Officials say the shooting remains under investigation. According to police, they do not currently have a suspect, but they are checking surveillance cameras in the area. Several hours later, authorities found another unidentified man less than a mile away on the 4600 block of Loring Street in Holmesburg, police say. According to authorities, the 19-year-old victim was fatally shot in the head. Police say the shootings remains under investigation. This is a developing story.
