It's no shock that Stephen Mulhern is loved for his clowning role on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, for hosting the reboot of Deal Or No Deal, or for presenting Dancing On Ice.

But it's quite surprising that it's taken him this long to reach the top of the TV world.Twenty years ago, Stephen was a children's TV presenter for CITV, a 22 year old magician was hosting links to CITV shows like The Worst Witch and SMTV Live with Ant and Dec and Cat Deeley.

Despite his big grin, even back then he was super serious about his career. He would watch Ant and Dec on SMTV on the telly in a small studio room at ITV Central very closely, as if he was learning from them, reports the Mirror.

But while Ant and Dec have been TV royalty for ages, Stephen has only recently started hosting a primetime TV show on his own stepping in for Phillip Schofield to join Holly Willoughby with Dancing On Ice.
