Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter has spoken about her future on the ITV soap as her character Chas Dingle faces a breast cancer diagnosis.
Chas recently discovered she has the faulty BRCA2 gene after being told she has breast cancer earlier this year. A lump was found by Dr Liam Cavanagh as they enjoyed a romantic liaison and after further tests, it was revealed she had cancer like her late mum Faith Dingle, who died in 2022.
After a break away ahead of her treatment, Chas returned to the village and was seen revealing to her family the cause of her cancer is the faulty BRCA2 gene.
It left her son Aaron as well as brothers Cain and Caleb blindsided to learn there’s a high likelihood they could have it too and further rocked with the realisation they could pass it on to their children.
