After seeing an ad for bitcoin and pondering the possible investment, 77-year-old Lynda Krauza decided she wanted to get into the cryptocurrency market.
Krauza said her husband has been in and out of Kelowna’s hospital, and she could use the money. Read more: Bitcoin price tops US$60,000, nearing record high “My kids have helped me tremendously, and I just wanted to be able to pay them back,” she said.
It all started in June, when Krauza entered her email and phone number into a bitcoin website. She said it didn’t take long for the phone calls to start rolling in.
